I built this bar for the 2012 St. Francis School auction. The top surfaces are 1.25″ granite slabs (ThanksĀ Elemar!), the shell of the bar is 3/4″ birch plywood, and the exterior is all solid cedar with a dark stain to weather well. The bar is wired with electricity for the lighting, fridge, and a countertop outlet for a blender, etc. The back splash is glass tile and is backlit with LED rope lights. The wine rack also has LED backlighting, and the underside of the bar top has LED lighting to illuminate the front. The bar is 6′ long, approximately 3′ front to back, standard 36″ high countertop and 42″ high bar top. The whole thing sits on four 3.5″ locking casters, which is a good thing because empty I’m guessing it weighs in around 500 lbs.
